Today my work day allowed me to get home in time to watch Jeopardy!. I love Jeopardy!. I took the test and was in the pool of contestants years ago but didn’t get selected. You’re in the pool for a year, but I never got the call, and I would’ve gotten killed, but I would’ve been happy to lose.
Anyway, commercial breaks during today’s Jeopardy! were non-stop election ads. And I was horrified to learn that every candidate, from all parties, worships the devil and likes to cook and eat human babies.
Nonetheless, I’m voting tomorrow. Voting, donating blood, baseball, jazz music (I already miss you Roy Hargrove), these things are good.
The candidates are not all the same, despite their best efforts to be stupid and make it seem so. I hope you’ll join me at the polls tomorrow, if you haven’t already voted.
I’m voting red, but will likely be swamped by a ton of blue……..
We’ll be nice to you if so:)
I’m with you Mike!!! We’re gonna do this thing!!!
We voted 2 weeks ago. Spent the last six month contributing & hosting fundraisers and getting out the vote, explaining Vote by Mail and how to do it….with virtually everyone who crossed my path. Vote by Mail really helps in getting out the vote.
Feeling very positive about Gillum. Btw, Florida is not a Red State….in fact, there are more registered Dems in FL than Republicans. The tremendous efforts put forth in the last several months to get Dems to vote has been relentless. It doesn’t end with his election.
We are hoping that tomorrow we wake up WITHOUT the knot in our stomachs that has plagued us these last two years.
Thanks for all the work!
This may be the most fogeyish thing I’ve ever copped to…we dvr Jeopardy and watch it after dinner, zipping through the ads along the way. I think the whole show takes 18 minutes.
Well, we never DVR anything, so we out-fogey you. And you’re the third person to tell me the same thing about recording Jeopardy!
